Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

HLTAID004

The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This unit of competency will contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011).

Course Duration

The first aid course is run over 1 day (7.5 hours) face to face Entry requirements There are no pre-requisites for this course. However, participants require English language literacy to understand content and complete written and practical examinations.

Re certification requirements

It is recommended this unit be renewed every 3 Years in line with the Code of Practice standards.

Requirements for Completion

Participants are required to attend 100% of this First Aid training and take part in all assessments.
